Junior Client Officer – Onboarding Services (m/f/d)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Junior in the onboarding team, you will play a crucial role in leading the onboarding process for new clients while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a deep understanding of KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) protocols, along with the ability to manage complex client relationships and collaborate across multiple teams to achieve seamless onboarding experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Onboarding Leadership:
    • Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a thorough and efficient collection and verification of all necessary documentation and information.
    • Full in depth analysis of the KYC files with fully documented conclusions.
    • Implement best practices for client onboarding, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  2. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Conduct comprehensive KYC and AML checks to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
    • Perform ongoing periodic client reviews to maintain up-to-date and accurate client data.
    • Identify and address any compliance issues, working proactively to resolve them.
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for both external and internal clients during the onboarding process, addressing promptly and professionally any issues or concerns as to the rationale of AML / KYC requirements.
    • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients through regular communication and exceptional service.
  4. Data Accuracy and Documentation:
    • Ensure all client data is accurately recorded and kept up-to-date in the system.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive client files and documentation, ensuring all information is readily accessible and secure.
  5. Team Collaboration and Support:
    • Collaborate effectively with other teams, including CRM, compliance, and tax, to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding process.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior team members and other departments as needed, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve the onboarding and remediation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting procedures as necessary to maintain compliance and operational excellence.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in client onboarding, compliance, or a related area within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of KYC and AML regulations and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex client relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and French or German.

Competencies:

  • Have a solid experience with the documentation and review of AML processes and the identification of key risks factors.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, whilst adhering to the company’s policies and procedures
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills
